Who is Dravin?

My real name is Aaron, and I’ve been using by the nickname (character name? gamer name?) Dravin since the mid nineties. I’m a writer in my heart, a gamer all the time, a newly found blogger, and soon to be a husband (9/25/11) to my sweet fiancée Amy Lou (aka Luci for most posts on this site)! I awesomely share the same birthday as George Lucas. Star Wars is/has been and most likely will always be a part of me in some ways. A recently found favorite is Doctor Who (and Torchwood) which you’ll notice as you read through the blog. Gigantic fan of Science Fiction/Fantasy/Speculative fiction/Horror/Etc.

Who is … Dravin? Let’s do the name first, Dravin. First and foremost it comes from the movie (or comic if you’d rather), The Crow. I’ve always though the Crow was/is a fantastic piece of work, I’ve seen it a innumerable of times, I own it (in way too many formats), so on and so forth – anyhow, the main character in the movie is named Eric Draven. So, being soo tricky myself, I simply replaced the ‘e’ with an ‘i’, and there you go, you have Dravin.

Since then I’ve used the name Dravin in so many things, and places I couldn’t even list them all on here – its ranged from simming on AOL back in the mid-94 and I still use it today.  Game character names, story character names, general references to myself, and more.
