The Old Republic update this Friday has been one of the best updates in a long time (if you don’t count the release date info!), so you really need to check this out.
They’ve given us the Galaxy Map for Star Wars: The Old Republic. In some fantastic detail, in the visuals as well as some general (and sometimes interesting) notes about the planets. As an added bonus there’s a section of the main starships as well, well worth a fun look. You’ll be in one of those soon
It’s well done, it’s fun and its certainly something that we’re all bound to see a lot of often during out travels about the known Galaxy!
Well here I am a few days behind, but with good reason of course (honeymoon!), this episode was/is pretty good, I laughed a few times more than the last few! Oh to know we’re winding down :\
A quick one here, but a new trailer for ‘The Walking Dead’ season two over on AMC surfaced, looks like there is going to be a lot of zombie-killing fun ahead!
Well looks like it’s finally be confirmed, Doctor Who Magazine says that Season Seven of Doctor Who will not air until Autumn of 2012. Which is that’s true, it may be split into 2013. As they note below in their quote and their guess about the future season layout, we can only hope they keep us entertained. 2013 will be the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who.
Enjoy the current run of Doctor Who while it lasts because the wait for the next series is going to be a lengthy one.
Doctor Who Magazine has officially confirmed what has been clear for a while now – Series 7 will not air until Autumn 2012.
With the 9 month shoot on the seventh series not beginning until February 2012, it would have been impossible for the traditional Spring start. The best we could hope for would be an Easter special to make the long gap easier to swallow.
It seems likely that only half of Series 7 will be shown in Autumn 2012, with the remainder coming early 2013. This means the Christmas 2012 episode would air in the middle of a series rather than the end.
It would also mean that 2013 would see an eighth series airing in time for the 50th anniversary.
For clarity, our schedule prediction would be:
2012
Easter Special
Autumn – Series 7 Part 1
Christmas Special
2013
Spring – Series 7 Part 2
Autumn – Series 8
Christmas Special
So how do you feel about the split? Initial feeling vs how you after giving it a minute or two? Gives people A LOT of time to catch up, if for some reason they haven’t been watching yet!
Found this great link over at i09.com (where else right?) for a nice assortment of set photos from the second season of Game of Thrones (which I assume atm, is ‘Clash of Kings’, but we’ll see!). Here are a few, but follow this link over to see the rest!
Well … its 6:30pm is, but now somewhere in Northern California, our wedding ceremony has recently completed and if all went well (and why wouldn’t it?), we’re in the midst of a ton of family photos right now! Hooray we’re totally married!
This image pretty sums up this entire post. We finally have an official release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and it will be December 20th! They’ve been saying Holiday 2011, so they it about as close as possible. I’m both excited, and worried, haha.
Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will launch in North America on December 20, 2011 and in Europe on December 22, 2011. Set thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader, Star Wars: The Old Republic is a massively multiplayer online game challenging players with epic quests, featuring dynamic combat across iconic worlds in the Star Wars™ galaxy such as Tatooine, Alderaan, Hoth and more. Each of the game’s eight primary classes will enjoy their own unique trilogy of storylines, all of which are fully voiced with a sweeping musical score.
As usual with your purchase you get the first month (30 days) free, and then we also learn the offical pricing as well: “$14.99 per month, $41.97 for 3 months ($13.99 per month), or $77.94 for six months ($12.99 per month).”
Last but not least, they also mention that the pre-order does grant “early access” though, they still aren’t saying what that means. Is that the Friday before? Sat? Sun? Two weeks? Hard to say, but something we need to know so we can schedule off at work!
Hrm… kinda of a meh episode overall from how good the season has been. The Iron Throne reference is pretty awesome, but middle of the road episode, what’d you think?
There are few things in this world that are as beautiful and fantastic as my soon to be wife, but the Earth itself is up there in the rankings. Here is a video from NASA, which shows just how awesome it is to see. Looking for the storms, the lights. I’ve watched it a few times.
So this past weekends episode of Doctor Who showed us something more of the Doctor has become, and what he fears the most. As usual I will spare too many solid spoliers, but as usual, please visit io9.com and read Charlie Jane Anders spoilery review – anyhow we met an interesting character who was on the verge of, it seemed had the possibility of becoming a new companion. Then by the end of the episode we have some good-byes, but we all know better than that, don’t we?
The God Complex had a double meaning, at least from what I got or it was convoluted term and a mix of the alien hotel they were in and of course what the Doctor is, and his God Complex. Which from his tales, travels and the stories told of him – some may seem him like that, and some of that isn’t by his own doing (or is it because he travels, helps and does so much)?
It’s been an interesting arc this second half of the season. We have two episodes to go – and I’m sure Moffat will leave us in a daze of bewilderment by time that 13th episode airs! Till then!
