Looks like for this Friday update from Bioware we get another Armor Progression video, this time for the Bounty Hunter.
It looks pretty awesome, lots of differences in the armor types – and some cool game-play action. Though overall, its just kinda neat. Check it out!

I love Steam! Steam has been providing digital downloads of games for a good while now – and they have a downloadable application you run which you manage your games, which ones you want to install, or not. It also has a community system a lot like XFire (albeit it bit different). More importantly Steam offers sales at insanely awesome prices at a regular basis (holiday sales, summer sales, etc).
The whole point of this post, because I assume you’ve heard of Steam already, is that their Summer Sale is on and running through 7/10. You have to check it out, there are awesome deals! Amazing deals!
That is all!

Something I really haven’t touched on (as of yet), is our love for J.R.R. Tolkien‘s writings, namely the Lord of the Rings, and of course the Hobbit. This really started years and years ago for me, not sure if I read one of the books (the Hobbit) from the library, or if I saw the animated Hobbit movie first, either way since then it’s been a part of me.
Of course the release of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy it really brought the stories (or what was left of them) to the forefront for a lot of people. Then with the release of Lord of the Rings Online, my entry into the a number of betas (and it’s release in April of 2007), then slowly but surely pulling Luci into the gaming world of LOTRO well it’s all around us. (We’ll deal with LOTRO more at some point)…

The only time I remember playing with My Little Pony growing up was when some Transformers or a squad of GI Joe were on the assault into my sisters room. I of course do soo love Firefly and Serenity, so finding this video was just awesome, you need to see this, click the read more to see the video!

So, everyone has seen and loves the Guild, right? If you haven’t, just stop reading and go watch the first episode, or season, or just watch all of it already. Hah! Season five of the Guild should be coming soon-ish, it began shooting in the middle of April 2011, and if you follow Felicia or the other cast members you can keep up with where they are in production, etc etc..

We’ve all known that the US air date for Torchwood: Miracle Day would be July 8th, but there’s been some crazy speculation and wondering of when it would air over in the UK (on BBC1), well we finally have a date, its July 14th, six days after the initial airing.
The biggest issue now is that Torchwood will fly onto the internet, and be pirated, which if yer already paying to see it, isn’t the end of the world. What could be is the lack of people actually tuning in and killing the ratings. We need ratings people for the show to come back again at some point!
Not long now until Miracle Day!

I’ve spoken about it before here and there throughout the site, but just wanted to throw a little notice (aka shameless plug) out for everyone. I’ve been working with my fiancee on updating and revamping her foodie blog, and it’s better than ever! Check it out when you get a chance!

Please and thanks
Also today (the 25th) signs the t-minus three months until the wedding date!

Well, I got an email today (as just about everyone else I know), SOE has announced that the MMO Star Wars Galaxies will die on 12/15/11. Wow!
Way back when I was in the beta testing phase for it. While overall the game (compared to today) is lacking in so many ways, it was awesome for its time. I remember playing a Bounty Hunter and trying to become a Jedi. Mining, decorating my house, building our town, giant raid vs raid combat, building crap and selling it on the auction hall.

There had been a thread entitled ‘Frozen Synapse‘ on my favorite gaming community site for some time, and I had just avoided it, for no apparent reason. So I saw it had reached four pages, and was like okay, lets see wtf this is all about.
Frozen Synapse is a thrilling PC and Mac strategy game. It brings the simultaneous turn-based strategy genre bang up-to-date and lets you give detailed, accurate orders to your squad. Classic gameplay with a modern interface!
Since that time, I instantly hit up the website for Frozen Synapse. Then I found someone over at the TG site (thanks Rog!), to split the game cost with me (it’s a two for one deal) via Steam.
You need to give this a whirl. I’m not that good, or well its taken me some time to get the ins and outs of the game play, but it’s a great turn-based fun time.
My username is ‘Dravin’ and I’m playing on the Texas server. Find me.

There have been a number of hints and sneaks of something coming as a web-based episode companion to Torchwood: Miracle Day. Pop Culture Zoo has posted some information about what’re we going to be getting:
BBC Worldwide and Starz announced today the production of an interactive app Torchwood: Web of Lies, which will feature 10, three-minute motion comic narratives providing critical clues. The app and first motion comic narrative will be available for download on iTunes prior to the premiere of Torchwood: Miracle Day with additional narratives and games will be available for download following each week’s broadcast transmission.
Torchwood: Web of Lies is an episodic interactive experience for iOS that fuses together motion comic and gameplay elements to tell an original and digitally exclusive Torchwood story. Players will participate in a parallel storyline to Torchwood: Miracle Day that includes lead characters Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper – voiced by John Barrowman and Eve Myles.
