Just as a reminder to … I believe anyone outside of the UK (that’s the USA/Canada, and I believe Australia – I mean I know your outside of the UK, you know what I mean!!, etc) that due to the US Memorial Holiday BBC America has decided to delay ‘The Almost People’ until next Saturday (6/4). Sooo beware of spoilers, because we’ll be a week behind for the last two episodes of this 6.1 Season. The Season 6.2 will return later this year (we have to wait until Fall!)
This weekend we have a Doctor Who marathon on BBCA, so catch that if you’ve missed anything or want to relive recent episodes.
And of course don’t forget our favorite Captain will be back in July (Torchwood: Miracle Day).
Well, here are my thoughts the remaining finales that we were a little behind on! There may be a few spoilers mixed in here, but I don’t think anything slipped that would hurt anything!
House: Meh! They started with this foreboding oooh–ahh what happened, and we waited until the last three minutes to find out, and we were both underwhelmed. Luci already thinks the show has “jumped the shark”, I generally enjoy it – we’ll see if they can pull it together for their rumored last season.
The Chicago Code: I loved this show! The finale really wrapped everything all up. We got a lot of answers, and a lot of “yeah all rights”, and it gave us some interesting tid-bits into what would be the second season. Sadly, it’s already announced that Fox will not be picking it up (since the show is good, it makes sense, right?). Hope to see some of these peeps in other shows soon.
Just a wee little blurb today. Not too much happening in the news (be safe those of you in the land of tornadoes though!), looking forward to relaxing a bit tonight – but before that, here’s a little blurb, a good picture of everyone’s favorite Captain Jack Harkness, and a link to the article about his new jacket .
“Creator Russell T Davies commissioned the show’s costume designer, Shawna Trpcic (a veteran of ‘Dollhouse,’ ‘Firefly’ and ‘Angel’) to make a new version of Jack’s iconic coat. We’ve exclusively got the first photo of Jack in the new season of ‘Torchwood,’ wearing his new and improved greatcoat.
Part of the reason Trpcic redesigned the coat and had it custom-made made by Italian tailors before production on the new season got underway: Los Angeles, where much ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day’ was shot earlier this year, is much warmer than Wales, which is where previous seasons of the show were filmed. The heavier versions of the greatcoat that actor John Barrowman wore in other seasons were just too much, in a variety of ways.”

Today’s the 25! T-minus 4 months until the wedding day!
Well looks like Starz has finally released the official trailer for Torchwood: Miracle Day! And it looks like we got a new 30 second trailer for Cowboys & Aliens, both after the jump!
Sooo you may or may not know, I’m engaged (since October), and our wedding is fast approaching (September), and one of Luci’s bridal showers was this past weekend. My mom and family threw her an awesome party.
Now you may be thinking, “okay this is interesting … but..”, well I got a little Star Wars cookware!
Luci created some imperial omelets this morning. These are the eggs your looking for

Super tasty, and very cool. You can get your own over at Williams-Sonoma (among the other dozen or so Star Wars items for the kitchen).
Well, here’s the first full promo for Torchwood: Miracle Day!!
If you don’t know anything about Torchwood, you have two options, well three:
1. Go to Netflix and watch Torchwood: Season 1, Season 2, and then Children of Earth.
a. Though if you really want to make sure you’re in the know of Captain Jack Harkness, you should look at my Doctor Who/Torchwood Episode Guide
2. You could always read the wiki on Torchwood.
3. Or if nothing else, wait for July 8th for Starz to premier the new season, called Torchwood: Miracle Day.
I’ve belonged to too many gaming communities over the years to even pretend I could count them on one hand. It’s something that changes when your tastes do, its something that changes when games change, and sometimes, and maybe most importantly it changes when your friends do.
Luckily, the past four years I’ve been part of a group that has successfully stayed together as friends, and as gamers – the community (The Twilight Gamers … yes as in mature, no not as in vampire) has taken on a new look, and we’re pushing forward as a guild with The Old Republic.
Our first major guild will be aligned with the Galactic Republic, and yes we plan to start a Sith Empire group (and many of us plan to do some smaller group stuff on that side).
Our dual-faction guild has been created and we are on the horizon of greatness…

Well, with all TV seasons comes the season finales – that time when the shows try to impress us, wrap up a season of story lines (if we’re lucky), and give us some sort of crazy cliffhanger to bring us back in four or so months.
Does it work? Generally, most of the shows we watch right now, I doubt we’ll stop until they are off the air – now getting us to watch new shows? That’s a whole different issue. hah.
So here’s a little snippet of what I thought of the season finales so far:
Chuck: If the show had ended with this episode, it’d have been okay and I would have looked back knowing that the show ran its course, but it was a good time. Lucky for us, we get a short 13 episode season next year!
Hawaii Five-O: I want to like this show. I really do! The season finale was by far the best episode of the season. I’m mostly looking forward to next season.
Here’s the official synopsis for Mircale Day:
“Torchwood: Miracle Day” begins with a day when nobody dies. The result: a population boom, overnight. With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can’t be a natural occurrence – someone’s got to be behind it. It’s a race against time as C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson investigates a global conspiracy. The answers lie within an old, secret British institute. As Rex keeps asking “What is Torchwood?,” he’s drawn into a world of adventure, and a threat to change what it means to be human, forever.
