Rumors have been swirling for a few days now, what would this tweet from Doctor Who main-man Steven Moffat mean? Could Sophia Myles who played Madame de Pompadour in the ”The Girl in the Fireplace” episode be returning? Could she be the next companion?
I have no idea – but be sure to follow them both on twitter, and stay tuned for more news – soooon (I hope)!
Looks like there’s some action in some of the management of Doctor Who, as Caroline Skinner (who produced The Fades) is the new executive producer for Doctor Who, taking the reigns from Beth Willis and Piers Wenger.
Huzzah! Fantastic news from HBO (finally), Season 2 of Game of Thrones will return Sunday, April 1st at 9pm EST. Ten episodes (like Season 1) are all lined up, waiting for Winter. In theory, this season should follow along with the second book in the series, entitled A Clash of Kings. I can’t wait to see how they portray the books! Lots to cover!!
On January 17th we’ll be getting out first major Star Wars: The Old Republic game content update! How awesome is that? You can read the full article over at AskAJedi.com, but for now, peep out this trailer!
Looks like Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning, which launches on 2/7/12 has a crossover going with our favorite game universe of Mass Effect. If you download the demo of The Reckoning on 1/17/12 (or anytime I assume) and complete it, you’ll unlock two items for Mass Effect 3.
Exclusive Todd McFarlane-designed Reckoner Knight Armor for Mass Effect 3 (install the demo)
The Powerful Chakram Launcher for Mass Effect 3 (complete the demo)
Read the complete faq here, and check out some interesting screenshots (and of course read more about the Reckoning!)!
So you have a lightsaber, good job! Now are you tired of the blue/green/orange/yellow/red crystals? Well, then its time for you to head over to AskaJedi.com and follow the steps in order to get a Magenta Crystal! It’s a bigger task than just killing a single mob – so under take at your discretion!
I’m hoping more different colors filter their way down the levels, but I’ll be happy with some different ones at 50!
If you’ve crafted at all while playing Star Wars: The Old Republic you are fully aware of that little ‘Reverse Engineer’ icon in your inventory. I’m sure you’ve clicked on it a few times, and maybe even used it to unlock Blue or Purple versions of your crafted items – I have to, but its so damn frustrating at the same time!
Darthhater.com reported earlier that there a great number of changes coming for PvP (via a conversation with Principal Lead PvP, Operations & Flashpoints Designer Gabe Amatangelo), a blurb below – but follow the link for the full story:
Combat Gameplay: You’ll see several optimizations come online in January, and we are going to continue to tune this as time goes on.
We also have other exciting features coming in the near future including Ranked Warzone Matches, PvP Stat Tracking, Open World PvP Loot Drops, more Warzone medals for different objectives, Guard Optimizations and Target Optimizations.
Additionally we’re looking at ways to enable team vs. team, more level brackets and the ability to choose which Warzone you want to play in.
There’s a new little block in the right column of Fallenjedi.com now that links to the RSS feed from Star Wars: The Old Republic – its generally lists their news updates, and includes patch notes and updates. I’ve decided to stop posting the updates as they come out – since you can find them so many places – namely in your game launcher and of course over at swtor.com!
Well, its 2012. Some say its the end of the world (of course, its later in the year), but so far so good – of course its only a few hours into the new year – but that’s a plus!
So how’d you knock out 2011 and ring in 2012? Anything special?
